Easy Blueberry Lemon Loaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons fresh grated lemon zest

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries I used fresh

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour to as to blueberries

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350*F and line a 9"x 5" loaf pan with parchment paper (or lightly grease with butter).In a bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder and salt, and set aside. With fresh blueberries wash and sprinkle with 1 tbsp of flour, set aside. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest and lemon juice, In the bowl of an electric mixer, blend together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest and lemon juice. Mix until well combined. add flour mixture, mix, then add buttermilk and blend together. Fold in blueberries until mixture is blended. well. Pour into buttered parchment papered loaf pan. Bake for 40-45 min

Cracklin Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup veg oil

  • 1 1/2 of self-rising corn meal

  • 1/2 cup sr flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp bacon fat

  • 1- 1 1/2 cup Buttermilk

  • 6 oz pork cracklings (I use Lord’s)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450° Place oil, bacon fat and a little butter in 8” cast iron and put it in the oven to get the pan scorching hot. Mix ingredients then add 1/2 the fat from the hot pan into the mix then stir in cracklings and pour into the hot pan, bake for 22-25 min.

Easiest Banana Bread You Will Ever Make

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups self-rising flour

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 4 bananas, mashed (about 1½ cups)

  • ½ cup butter room temperature

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon of banana extract(optional)

  • 1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan with baking spray or grease and flour. Cream Butter and sugar, add eggs, add flour just until mixed, do not over mix, fold in mashed bananas, nuts and flavorings and stir until mixed well. Spread batter into prepared pan. • Bake until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 45-50 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool completely on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Old-Fashioned Fried Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of yellow cornmeal

  • 1 cup of self-rising flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup of buttermilk

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • Butter

  • 3 tbsp Bacon grease (add 1 tsp in mix) optional Veg oil

Instructions:

Whisk all dry ingredients, then add eggs and buttermilk and 1 tsp of bacon grease(optional). Batter should be just a little thicker than pancake batter. Drop about 1 1/2 tbsp of batter in hot oil and bacon grease, flip when you see it bubble up. Drain on paper towel, pat with butter while hot…enjoy!!

Cheesy Jalapeno Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal

  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 3/4 cup whole milk

  • 3/4 cup sour cream

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 stick melted butter cooled

  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 seeded and chopped jalapeno

  • 1 cup fresh corn

  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese

  • Butter or bacon fat to grease pan

Instructions:


Preheat oven to 400° Whisk together all wet ingredients then mix dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients. Place greased skillet in oven until sizzling hot and pour mixture in, bake for 20-25 minutes

Amazing Cream Cheese Gorilla Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese

  • 2 (12 oz) cans 10 count refrigerated biscuits

  • 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans

Instructions:


Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Spray a bundt pan very good with nonstick cooking spray. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over low heat, add vanilla stirring well; set aside. Cut the cream cheese into 20 equal cubes. Press the biscuits out with your fingers and sprinkle each with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon sugar. Place a cube of cream cheese in the center of each biscuit, wrapping and sealing the dough around the cream cheese. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the nuts into the bottom of the bundt pan. Place half of the prepared biscuits in the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, pour half of the melted butter mixture over the biscuits, and sprinkle on 1/2 cup of nuts. Layer the remaining biscuits on top, sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar, pour the remaining butter mixture over the biscuits, and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of nuts. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes. Place a plate on top and invert.

Cheesy Christmas Tree Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough cut on 30 pieces

  • 6 mozzarella sticks cut into 5 pieces to equal 30

  • 1 egg

  • Garlic

  • Butter

  • Italian seasoning

  • Oregano

  • Parsley

  • Optional Parmesan cheese

  • Marinara sauce

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°. Cut pizza dough in 30 pieces, place mozzarella cheese inside the dough, tuck and roll into a ball and place on sprayed parchment paper. Arrange into any shape and brush with egg wash bake 15 to 20 minutes. Top with melted butter, mixed with garlic or garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and oregano. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley, great with marinara.

Easy Dinner Yeast Rolls w/ Honey Butter

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup of warm milk

  • 1 ½ tsp salt

  • 4 tbsp melted butter

  • 3 tbs sugar

  • 1 tbsp quick acting yeast

  • 4 cups of all-purpose flour

Cinnamon Butter:

  • ½ cup of butter

  • ½ cup of honey

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

    Mix all ingredients and enjoy

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Warm milk about 45 sec in the microwave, add melted butter, salt, sugar, and yeast, stir. Let stand 5 min, it will foam, that’s means its working. Pour in mixer, then add 2 cups of flour and mix with the dough hook until mixed, then add remaining flour, mix until it pulls away from the bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let sit about 10 minutes. This recipe makes 15 rolls, divide accordingly, pull and tuck sides under then roll in hand so the tops are round and smooth, place in buttered dish or pan, bake 15-20 min, until tops are golden brown, brush with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven. Delicious Southern Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup veg oil

Tip* After you flip it on a plate place a long knife under it to keep it crunchy*

Lin’s Blueberry Scones

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 stick of frozen grated butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup blueberries

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Mix all dry ingredients together, cut in the butter. Whisk heavy cream, egg, and vanilla and add to flour mixture to form a dough. Turn onto a floured surface and gently fold and push in the blueberries trying not to burst them but a few will anyway. Form a round disk around 1-2 inches thick. Cut like a pie into triangles. You can divide the dough and made 2 disk for smaller scones this time. Place on parchment lined baking sheet, cut in pieces, then chill in fridge for 15 min, then brush heavy cream on top and sprinkle with sugar or coarse sugar. Bake in preheated oven 425°F about 12 minutes. Or till done. Cool completely before drizzling with glaze.

Glaze

1 cup of powdered sugar

Milk or buttermilk to your desired consistency

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp lemon extract or lemon zest

Mix well to your desired consistency.


Deliciously SIMPLE Sprite Biscuits Recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Bisquick

  • 3/4 cup Sprite

  • 3/4 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 stick of butter

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.In a medium-sized bowl, stir together Bisquick, Sprite, and sour cream until just combined.Sprinkle the countertop with a little Bisquick. Add the dough to the counter and knead a little using your hands to the dough and pat the dough out to about 1/2 an inch thick. Add additional Bisquick as needed to form a very soft dough that is just holding together, cut either biscuit cutter, or a glass jar. . Place cast iron pan in oven to get hot then add about 3 tablespoons of butter and melt, place biscuits on top of butter, bake 13-15 min, brush tops with butter.

Easy Homemade Biscuits and Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:

  • Jimmy Dean Sausage Roll

  • 3 Tbsp Self-Rising Flour

  • 4 Cups of Milk

  • Butter(optional)

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Garlic Powder/Onion Powder(optional)

Instructions:

Cook sausage until browned, leave some grease from the sausage, if lean add butter sprinkle 3 tablespoons of flour (more if you are making a bigger batch) Cook scraping the pan not to stick for about 3-4 minutes to cook the flour adding butter if needed, then slowly add milk 2 cups first then additional cups of milk allowing to simmer and thicken up. If too thick at milk, if too thin you can add a little flour in cold water and pour in, add salt, pepper, or any additional seasoning, I added garlic powder and onion powder (1 tsp each). Enjoy!
